What do you enjoy when you’re not boarding?
Trying to mountain bike as often as possible, river surfing or rafting, and getting in shape playing soccer. When night falls I find some live music preferably at Red Rocks or festivals. Also starting to garden, let me know if you need some produce!.
Who or what has influenced your riding the most?
The shared STOKE of riding with the homies and all-hyped rippers. The encouragement and vibes on a killer day elevates everyone’s riding style and energy – it’s ultimately what fuels innovation to push our limits. Also, I’ll have to give Kudos to Danny Davis who has promoted style over massive tricks. Shout out to Halldór Helgason, Torstein Horgmo, Mark McMorris, Travis Rice, and the flying tomato for pushing crazy boundaries.
What excites you about Proteus Boards/technology the most?
Dude, I’m hyped to switch up my ride on the fly—never stressing about which profile to pick again! Customizing my board? That’s next-level stuff, Proteus knows what’s up!
Where do you see yourself boarding, or what does snowboarding look like in 20 years?
Definitely shredding the gnar with my family of little ice surfers. I know I can’t keep myself from coaching, filming, and making edits for the little next generation. And you know I’ll be cashing in my sick days for pow days til the end!
What would be the title of your autobiography? Powder Playground: Mr. Jones, Forever Stoked!
Favorite post-ride meal/beer/tradition? Rejuvenating in a hot tub with some local brews and the crew, cold plunge in the river, then finish the night with an XL pizza and watching the latest snowboard edits.
